1957 graduate

Judith Cherry Wardill graduated MB ChB in 1957 and completed her MD in 1964 as part of her training in pathology. The title of her MD thesis was ‘Pathology of Human Aortic Valve Homografts’. She was a fellow in pathology at the Mayo Clinic in the United States from 1967 to 1969. On her return to New Zealand, she did parttime clinical work in Russell and Ashburton, and from 1971 to 1974 she worked as a histopathologist at Wellington Hospital. She then moved to the Waikato, where she worked until the end of her career.
